overview
This chapter is a guide to building a monitoring system using FA-Server.
In addition to basic knowledge such as communication settings with PLC and tag registration, content is available for various purposes, such as how to build server logic for logging and daily reports, system duplication, and runtime operation settings.

Communication settings with PLC and tag registration
This section explains how to register a unit to communicate with PLC and how to register tags to the registered unit.
We will explain how to set up each function such as logging, trend graphs, and daily reports, as well as provide an overview of the configuration using FA-Server as a communication server.
In addition to the functions mentioned above, FA-Server allows you to build various server functions. Here, we will introduce how to build various server logic using the functions of FA-Server on a case-by-case basis.
System implementation and operation
This section explains the preparation work required before introducing the system, as well as the system operation configuration, such as a single server or a server duplex configuration. It also introduces the runtime execution method of FA-Server and FA-Client, and explains the setup work required for each purpose and the various settings required for continuous operation.
