Direct query database(SQL) control (DirectQueryDB)

 

 

Direct query database(SQL) control is a control for retrieving data from and writing data to a database using SQL.

Connect to the database directly from your browser(For compatible databases, see here).

Since you connect to the database directly from the browser via ODBC, there are the following disadvantages.

To eliminate these disadvantages, Remote query database(SQL) control is usually used.

 

1)ODBC settings are required for each PC that runs the browser.

2)The browser cannot be used seamlessly over the Internet.

3)Since a database is connected for each browser, there will be multiple connections to the database.

Direct query database(SQL) control is used when you want to connect to a database that can only be accessed from a browser. Normally, you would use Remote query database(SQL) control if you want to share a database.
