MELSECNET/10

Notes

Common to all CPUs

For information on how to set up CPU and various communication units, please refer to the manual for each CPU or unit. When setting the "I/O number", set the value to "1/16" of the first I/O number of the target unit. The "Timeout" setting in "Advanced Settings" is supported from the following driver package versions onwards; for earlier driver versions, the driver will process it as a fixed 15 seconds.

SW3DNF-MNET10:00A onwards

SW3NNF-MNET10:00A onwards

Please note that this setting must be specified in multiples of 1000 (i.e., in seconds) (the last three digits will be truncated).

In addition, the setting value between 15000 and 360000 is valid, 0 to 14999 is treated as 15000, and 360001 and above is treated as 360000.

Q Series Q Mode

When installing an Ethernet unit in the target station to access other stations, set the values specified in the parameter settings of the Ethernet unit to the "Network number of the target station unit" and "Station number of the target station unit".

When accessing other stations via the Ethernet unit, set the "MELSECNET/10 routing information" in the Ethernet unit. In addition, for the "MELSECNET/10 routing method," specify a method other than "automatic response" (IP address calculation method, table conversion method, or combined method).

When connecting a QnA Series CPU to a connection station and accessing other stations via Ethernet, the following routing parameter settings are required for the MELSECNET/10 board in the PC.

Destination network number

Network number of the target station's Ethernet unit

Relay network number

Network number of the MELSECNET/10 unit of the connected station

Relay station number

Station number of the connected MELSECNET/10 unit

If you select "Multiple CPU - Management CPU" in "Target CPU", "Single CPU" will be selected when you reopen the setting screen. This occurs because the internal settings for both are the same, and does not affect operation.

QnA Series
