explanation

root

Locale

This is the representative property for locale settings. You can specify the locale ID to be used commonly throughout this property (locale IDs are IDs such as "ja", "de", "un", etc.).

Among the locale-related properties, if "DEFAULT" is specified for the LocaleLanguage root property, the LocaleNumber root property, and the LocaleDateTime root property, the setting of this property will be adopted. For the behavior when "DEFAULT" is also specified for this property, please refer to the description of each property below.

LocaleLanguage

You can specify the locale ID to be displayed when the form is called. If you specify "DEFAULT" for this property, the setting of the Locale root property will be used. If both this property and the Locale root property are set to DEFAULT,Setting the display language for WindowsFollow the instructions.

This property is used in conjunction with the LocaleLanguage property of the form. For details, see the LocaleLanguage property of the form below.

LocaleNumber

You can specify the locale ID of the numeric format individually. If you specify "DEFAULT" for this property, the setting of the Locale root property will be used. If you specify DEFAULT for both this property and the Locale root property,Setting Windows regional settingsFollow the instructions.

LocaleDateTime

You can specify the locale ID for the date and time format individually. If you specify "DEFAULT" for this property, the setting for the Locale root property will be used. If both this property and the Locale root property are set to DEFAULT,Setting Windows regional settingsFollow the instructions.

Forms

LocaleLanguage

You can specify a locale ID for each form individually.

When supporting multiple languages, for example, prepare multiple forms with the same name and set the desired locale ID in the LocaleLanguage of each form. When the screen is called up using a method such as OpenForm, the form with the same locale ID as the root LocaleLanguage property setting will be automatically selected and displayed.

As a concrete example, prepare two forms with the same name, "Form01", and set the LocaleLanguage property of each form to "ja" and "en". Then, when displaying Form01 with the OpenForm method with the LocaleLanguage root property set to "ja" (or "DEFAULT" (following the OS settings) when running on a Japanese OS), the form with the LocaleLanguage property set to "ja" will be automatically selected and displayed. Similarly, when calling Form01 with the LocaleLanguage root property set to "en", the "en" form will be displayed.

hint

If you need to build a monitoring system that takes into account the system's display language, numeric format, and date/time format for internationalization, you must properly set the Locale root property, LocaleLanguage root property, LocaleNumber root property, and LocaleDateTime root property. For example, if you want the display language, numeric format, and date/time format to all be English "en", set the Locale root property to locale ID "en" and set other locale-related root properties to DEFAULT. On the other hand, if you want the display language and numeric language to be English "en" and only the date/time format to be Japanese "ja", specify "ja" in the LocaleDateTime root property.

■If Locale is "DEFAULT"
