SendReport

 

Send the report file to the server.

 

syntax

SendReport(

         fileName,

         fileType,

         reportType,

         date

         )

 

Parameters

 

fileName

Type:

character

The file name to send.

 

fileType

Type:

character

Type of file.

"master" - Master file (text file)

"excel" - Excel file

"text" - text file

"html" - HTML files

"xml" - XML file

 

reportType

Type:

character

The type of report file.

"day" - Daily report "month" - Monthly report "year" - Annual report

 

date

Type:

time

The date for which the report is sent.

 

Return Value

Type:

character

The name of the file actually saved. If an error occurs, the empty string "".

The Daily/Monthly/Yearly Report file received in ReceiveReport is sent back to the server. The file on the server will be replaced with the file you sent.

This is used when the client wants to send back a report file with corrections. If you want to correct a report on the client side, you would normally follow the procedure below.

 

1) Receive the report file from the server using the ReceiveReport method.

2) Open the report file with ::OpenApplicationFile (root method).

3) After modifying the report file, save it overwriting the previous one.

4) Send the report file back to the server using the SendReport method.
