Video player control (VideoPlayer)

Video player control is a control for playing various video files (MOV files, MJPEG files, etc.) and viewing video from network cameras.

The LibType property can be set to support the following library types:

Library Type

Features

OpenCV

It is possible to play video files and view network cameras (MJPEG/H.264). It is characterized by its light processing, and it is possible to display multiple screens at the same time using split display, etc. However, it does not support audio.

DirectShow

DirectShow supports audio. It is suitable for playing video files that require audio, such as device guidance and operation manuals. However, because DirectShow is a heavy process, it is not possible to create a screen that displays multiple video players simultaneously, such as in a split screen. If you want to play video files that do not require audio, OpenCV is recommended.

attention

To support various video formats with DirectShow, you will need to install a codec pack such as "LAVFilters" separately.
