Use as a DDE client
When connecting from FA-Server to another DDE server, you need to configure the units and tags for communicating with the DDE server using the same procedure as for defining tags that communicate with PLC.
In this case, the following two pieces of information are required for connection:
Application Name

Application name of the destination DDE server |
Topic Name
|
The name of the DDE topic to connect to |

How to connect to other DDE servers
The connection is set up by setting the unit as a "DDE (CF_TEXT) Server."
1.Right-click Driver in the tree on the left side of the screen to display the menu, and select "Add Unit"
2.From the driver list dialog, select "Network" - "DDE" - "DDE (CF_TEXT) Server."
3.Make the necessary settings
Enter the information of the destination DDE server (application name, topic name, etc.) in the unit's communication settings dialog.
