Step 3: Setting up Excel
Configure the Excel side.
1.Start Excel.
2.Enter the following formula in the appropriate cell:
=FASERVER|U01.F01!T01 |
This completes the work on the Excel side.
Once you have written the DDE formula in Excel, try looking up "Number of Items" in the FA-Server DDE interface screen. If the count of the tag you connected above is displayed, then everything is OK. In this example, there is only one tag, so "1" is displayed.
Also, if the connection is normal, the multiview tag will turn red as shown below.

When writing link formulas in Excel, there is a function that allows you to easily embed multiple tags at once.
1. Display the menu and select "Drag and Drop" and "Excel". 2. Select the tag and drag and drop it into Excel. Note that multiple tags can be selected at the same time. 3. The link formula is automatically embedded.
