Use as a OPC client
When connecting from FA-Server to another OPC server, you need to set up the units and tags for communicating with the OPC server using the same procedure as for defining tags that communicate with PLC.
In this case, the following two pieces of information are required for connection:
Program ID

The program ID of the OPC server to connect to |
Item ID
|
Item ID of the OPC server to connect to |
Also, when making a remote connection, you will need the "node name" (the name of the remote PC).

How to connect to other OPC servers
The connection is set up by setting "OPC DA1.0/2.0 Server" on the unit.
1.Right-click Driver in the tree on the left side of the screen to display the menu and select "Add Unit".
2.From the driver list dialog, select "Network" - "OPC" - "OPC DA1.0/2.0 Server".
3.Enter the information of the OPC server to connect to (program ID, node, etc.) in the communication settings dialog of the unit.
