Measurement conditions
The communication performance listed on this page was measured under the following conditions.
•The measurement is performed using the "update cycle measurement function" of our application.
•Log 100 communications with the word register on PLC and calculate the average communication time per communication.
•Prepare one test PC and connect it to only one PLC. Do not communicate with multiple PLCs at the same time.
•Tests are performed without performing control processing such as ladder logic on the PLC side.
•The unit of measurement time is milliseconds (ms).
The PC environment for the test is as follows:

Communication Performance
The communication performance measurement results are as follows:
■Mitsubishi Electric Q Series Ethernet
Model used: Q13UDVCPU
Communication area: D0000 - D9999

The maximum communication size of one packet for the Mitsubishi Q Series is approximately 900 words. Best performance is achieved by defining multiples of 900 tags per PLC. Please refer to the sample file for details. |

1. FA-M3 Ethernet General-purpose protocol (binary mode)

The maximum communication size of one packet of the FA-M3 Ethernet general-purpose protocol is 64 words. The maximum communication size of one packet of the FA-M3R Ethernet high-speed protocol is four times that of general-purpose protocol, at 256 words. |
