Common to all CPUs

For information on how to set up CPU and various communication units, refer to the manual for each CPU or unit. The available settings for [Transmission Speed] in "Port Settings" vary depending on the type of CPU of the connected station.

 

Q Series CPU: "9600", "19200", "38400", "57600", or "115200"

QnA series CPU: either "9600", "19200", or "38400"

A Series CPU: Fixed to "9600"

 

Set the [Flow Control] setting in "Port Settings" according to the cable you are using.

 

 

Q Series Q Mode

When setting the "I/O number," set the value to "1/16" of the first I/O number of the target unit. If you are installing an Ethernet unit in the target station to access other stations, set the values specified in the parameter settings of the Ethernet unit to the "Network number of the target station unit" and "Station number of the target station unit."

When accessing other stations via the Ethernet unit, set the "MELSECNET/10 routing information" in the Ethernet unit. In addition, for the "MELSECNET/10 routing method," specify a method other than "automatic response" (IP address calculation method, table conversion method, or combined method).

If you select "Multiple CPU - Management CPU" in "Target CPU", "Single CPU" will be selected when you reopen the setting screen. This occurs because the internal settings for both are the same, and does not affect operation.

 

 

QnA Series

When setting the "I/O number," set the value to "1/16" of the first I/O number of the target unit. Access to stations other than the connected station (access to other stations) is not possible.
