About the Historical data server feature

In this chapter, we will explain the "Historical data server function", which is one of the four major functions of Summary Actions.

Summary actions support the Historical data server feature.

The Historical data server function is one of the functions that allows the Panel Browser side to use historical data (logging data) and aggregated data created on the Panel Server side in response to a reference request from the client Panel Browser. Actions that support the Historical data server function include summary actions, as well as "logger actions", "Alarm server actions", "File server actions", "query server actions", and "Historical data server actions".

There are two ways (available controls) to obtain summary action history data from the Panel Browser side.

explanation

Histrical data graph control

A control for historical trend graphs. Through this control, historical data of summary actions is displayed in a graph.

Historical data control

This control is for retrieving historical data as data. Through this control, you can retrieve historical data from a script.

Data Source Path

A data source path is a specified format used to identify the field name to reference for the Historical data server function.

The data source path for a summary action is:

action name.summary name::field name

The action name is the action name of the summary action on the Panel Server side. For example, if the action name is "Summary", it will be displayed as Summary.

For the summary name, specify the string on the right side of "::" in the definition string specified in the header of the root log section or the aggregation log section. For example, if the definition of the aggregation log section for daily report aggregation is [RAW::DAY], the summary name will be DAY.

For the field name, specify the name defined in the [Name] column of the tag field master or calculated field master.

Example of data source path:

Summary.RAW::T000

Summary.DAY::T000

Summary.MONTH::T000

Summary.YEAR::T000

Summary.AVERAGE::T000

hint

Be sure to specify half-width characters for the "." (period) and "::" (two colons) in the data source path. Also, be careful not to include any extra spaces.
