Numeric Input 1
Numeric Input 1 is a component for writing the numerical value entered on the screen to a tag. When the edit is confirmed, the value is written to the input/output tag.
Specify the tag to be input/output as the input/output tag (_TagInOut). The value of the input/output tag will be the initial display, and thereafter the display will be dynamically updated every time the value changes.
When editing a value, only values within the range specified by the minimum and maximum values will be accepted. Once the edit is confirmed, the value will be written to the input/output tag. The displayed value will be the tag's numeric value regardless of the minimum and maximum settings, and any numeric format can be specified, including the number of decimal places and whether or not to display delimiters.
In addition, by specifying a tag for fault identification in the fault identification tag (_TagFault) separate from the input tag, a fault can be displayed based on signals such as equipment abnormalities received from downstream.

Usage Example
1) Input/output tag specified/no fault identification tag
The value of the input/output tag is displayed according to the number format and decimal point position defined in the custom properties. When the tag value changes, the display updates dynamically.
When the item is focused by clicking the mouse, the value can be edited. In the example on the left, all items are selected using the cursor setting "SELECTALL". |
Enter a value from the keyboard. You can enter a value within the range set by the maximum and minimum values. Here, the input will be confirmed when you lose focus by pressing the Enter key or clicking on another object. |
The entered value is written to the I/O tag and displayed in the specified numeric format. |
When the quality flag of the input/output tag is BAD, a fault is displayed.
The part will be framed in yellow and will flash. When a fault is displayed, the input frame is disabled and editing is not possible. |
Various number formats are available (e.g. "@de" for Germany, "@ja" for Japan, etc.). You can also customize the number format to freely change the string displayed in a fault state (e.g. ***). For an overview of number formats, see Number Formats.
If you want to change the string displayed when the quality flag is BAD (QualityBad) as shown below, please refer to Number format (user format). Example: If you want to display a different string when the quality flag is BAD Example: When the quality flag is BAD, you want to display the final value when communication is successful.
By setting the "FocusHover" property of the form to which the component is attached to True, a focus frame will be displayed when you move the mouse cursor over the component you want to operate. |
2) Input/output tag specified/fault identification tag
If you specify a fault identification tag, you can receive the fault status of the device via the tag. For example, if you can receive a fault status (such as a sensor abnormality) from the downstream side as a signal separate from the device's measurement value, you can specify the tag path of that signal as the fault identification tag to display the fault along with the state of the quality flag of the input tag.
When the fault identification tag is False, the value received by the input/output tag is displayed and can be edited as usual.
A fault is displayed when the fault identification tag is true or when the quality flag of the input/output tag is bad. When a fault is displayed, the input frame is disabled and editing is not possible. |
3) Change the number format
You can change the number format to display numbers in various formats.
In this example, the number format is specified as "@de" (Germany). In the German format, the decimal point is displayed as a comma instead of a period, and the comma is also treated as a decimal point when editing.
4) Keyboard display
If you enable keyboard display (_ShowKeyboard), the keyboard dialog (numeric keypad) will be displayed when the focus is on the control.
You can edit the value using the numeric keypad on the dialog. Clicking the OK button closes the dialog, the edited result is reflected in the input box, and the value is written to the input/output tag.
5) Error message display
If you enable error display (_ShowErrorMsg), a message box will be displayed when an input error occurs.
The content to be displayed can be specified using the error message (_ErrorMsg).
