This section explains the preparation work before introducing the system, such as installing applications on the target PC.
When installing an application developed using FA-Panel to an actual PC environment, you need to perform the following tasks.
work |
overview |
Installation of required applications
|
Necessary applications must be installed on the actual PC that will run the system. Installation is performed using the installer in this package.
You will also need to connect the license key to the PC running Panel Server.
|
Deletion of unnecessary demo screens/functions
|
When you create a project using the standard framework or a sample, the automatically generated Panel Server server configuration file and client configuration file contain settings for the demo screen and demo operation.
If these settings are not required for actual operation, please delete them manually before installing them on the actual PC.

The monitoring screen created with Panel Editor needs to go through a "setup process" before it can be put into operation. The setup process is a build process that converts the file paths of image files and configuration files referenced by absolute paths from part libraries and properties to relative paths all at once.
There are several methods for handling runtime execution of the client, and depending on which method you use for runtime execution, you will need to perform the appropriate setup process for that method.

Protecting source code through encryption
|
When deploying a surveillance system developed with FA-Panel to the field, there may be cases where you do not want to release source code such as scripts for some reason. In such cases, you can encrypt the files before releasing them.
