overview
When deploying a monitoring system developed with FA-Panel into the field, there may be some reasons why you do not want to release the source code of the deliverables.
In such cases, you can encrypt the files. Encrypting files makes the source code unreadable. If you do not want to release the source code to the production environment, you can develop using the original files on the development PC and then introduce the encrypted files to the production environment.
FA-Panel allows you to encrypt the following files:

explanation |
Encrypting client configuration files
|
You can encrypt the client configuration file (xml) created by Panel Editor. This is done from Panel Editor. The encrypted configuration file (with the extension "brw") can be loaded and executed from Panel Browser, or loaded and executed from another configuration file using the AddResourceFile method. |
Encrypting script files (Script Ver2)
|
You can encrypt script files to be executed with Script Ver2 actions. This can be done by specifying options and running the executable file of Panel Server from the command prompt. The encrypted script file (with the extension "enc") can be specified as the script file of Script Ver2 action of Panel Server and executed. |
|
It is not possible to decrypt an encrypted file back to its original state, so be sure to keep the original file for development purposes. |
