Connect to the server (Query server).

 

Syntax 1

Connect(

         actionName

         )

 

Parameters

 

actionName

Type:

character

Query serverAction name.

 

Return Value

Type:

Boolean

FALSE - Failure. TRUE - Success.

Connect to the Query server defined in the server. Query server connects to the DB.

Even if you connect to the server from multiple browsers, there is only one connection to the DB.

         dsn,

         dataBase,

         user,

         password

         )

Type:

character

Data source name.

 

dataBase

Type:

character

Database name.

 

user

Type:

character

User name.

 

password

Type:

character

password.

 

Return Value

Type:

Boolean

FALSE - Failure. TRUE - Success.

Connect to the DB through the server.

If you connect to the server from multiple browsers using syntax 2, the server will create a connection to the database for each browser.
