Steps for viewing data

There are four steps to displaying the data:

1) Use the AddPen method to add pens equal to the number of types of data you want to display.

2) Set the X-axis range using the SetTimeRange method.

3) Use the SelectPen method to set the pen (data) you want to make currently active.

4) Display the data using the AddData method (you can initialize only the data using the ClearData method).

The procedure for displaying data is the same as for Plot graph control, except for specifying the range of the X-axis with SetTimeRange. For details, see Plot graph control.

hint

The X-axis time data added using the AddData method. If you specify the data down to the millisecond, the plot points will be displayed in milliseconds.

Differences from Histrical data graph control

In the case of Histrical data graph control, it connects to the server and automatically retrieves and displays time series data from the database.

The difference with this control is that it does not use a server but instead sets time series data independently using the AddData method.

Trend graph control is used when you want to display time series data using a script without using a server.

If there is no specific reason not to use it, use Histrical data graph control.
