overview
The IPLink server unit allows you to access tags on a IPlink server.
The IPLink server unit allows you to create tags that are linked to tags on other our server applications.
Below we explain how to configure the IPLink server unit.
IPLink server unit settings
By using the communication unit "IPLink Server", you can connect to other IPLink servers from FA-Server.
First, define the connection information (IP address, port number, etc.) of the destination server application for this IPLink server unit. Then, in the tag settings to be registered under this unit, specify the tag path of the tag defined on the destination FA-Server as a parameter.
1.Right-click Driver in the tree on the left side of the screen to display the menu, and select "Add Unit"
2.From the driver list dialog, select "Network" - "IPLink" - "IPLink Server"
3.Configure the unit
Open the unit properties and enter the information of the IPLink server to which you want to connect.
The most important settings are the IP address and port number. Please specify the IP address of the PC on which the server application you want to connect to is running, and the port number set in IPLink-Interface on the server application side.
4.Set up folders and tags.
Please register folders and tags in the IPLink unit. In addition, specify the tag path defined on the connected IPLink server side as the parameter (item name) of the tag in the IPLink unit.
For information on registering IPLink tags, please refer to the description in "IPLink Server" in the Device Connection Guide.
