Application of access paths (use of Active tag)
When building a small-scale monitoring screen system, such as with graphic panels from Digital Electronics or Mitsubishi Electric, if tag assignments such as binding can be simply specified using only the PLC address (device address names such as "D0" and "M0"), monitoring screens can be built more efficiently.
In such cases, using "Active tag" will be effective.
FA-Panel has a convenient function called Active tag. Specifically, by adding a "#" to the beginning of the tag name and calling the tag, even if the actual tag is not registered in Panel Server, the tag will be automatically generated at runtime and you can communicate with PLC.
Therefore, by defining the access path of the root property "PSTagAccessPath" as "U01.F01.#", including the "#", you can simply specify a device address such as "D0" or "M0" as the tag path from the bind, and it will be recognized as Active tag as shown below at runtime, and you will be able to communicate with PLC even if no static tags are registered under U01.F01.
example)
If the "U01" unit and "F01" folder for communicating with Mitsubishi Electric's PLC are registered on the Panel Server side and "U01.F01.#" is set as the access path, Panel Browser can access PLC using device addresses such as "D0" and "M0".

Please note that if you define "U01.F01.#" in the access path, the tag name will always be interpreted with "U01.F01.#" added to the beginning, so it cannot be mixed with Static tag. For example, even if Static tag U01.F01.T01 is registered in Panel Server, it will not be possible to connect from the client. |
