Source Data and Display Data
The grid data includes "Source Data"and"Display Data" These are closely related to the filtering and paging features of Grid control.
Source data is all the data that the grid has.
Below is an example of an unfiltered grid view: With no filtering or paging, the grid will display all of the source data.

On the other hand, display data is the data that is displayed on the grid as a result of filtering and paging operations.
Below is an example of the filter function's search filter (SearchFilter method) narrowing down the previous grid to the keyword "abc". Only the three rows of data that match the search criteria are displayed as display data.

An index is a number that points to a cell's location in a grid.
The index to the grid's source data is simply calledIndex"It is called "
The index for the grid's display data is calledDisplay Index"It is called "
If no filtering or paging is in effect, the source data and display data have the same index..
Please note that among the various methods provided by Grid control, there are methods that operate on display data and methods that operate on source data.
■ Methods that process display data
The following methods operate on display data.
Methods |
explanation |
GetDisplayRows / GetDisplayCols
|
Returns the number of rows/columns of display data displayed in the grid. |
DisplayRowToRow / DisplayColToCol
|
Specify a display index and get the corresponding source data index. |
GetSelectedRow / GetSelectedRows / |
Gets the position of the selected cell by display index. |
Specify the target cell position by display index. |
|
|
|
Specifies the cell scrolling parameters by display index. |
GetFirstVisibleRow /GetFirstVisibleCol
|
Gets the display position of the scrolled cell by display index. |
|
|
Specify the position of the cell to be processed by the display index. |
|
|
Specify the position of the cell to be processed by the display index. |
|
|
The display data currently shown in the grid will be printed. |
|
|
The argument specifies whether it is display data or source data (default is source data). |
■Methods in which processing is performed on source data
Methods other than those listed above operate on the source data.
for example,SetData / SetCellPropertyMethods such as , must be called by passing the index of the source data as an argument.
So if filtering or paging is in effect on the grid:DisplayRowToRow / DisplayColToColBe sure to obtain the index of the source data using a method before passing it.
