Add communication error with PLC to the alarm
If you want to add a state where communication with PLC is not possible to the alarm, use the unit's system property tag "U01!Alive" (note: "U01" on the left is an example of a unit name. For information on system properties, see "System Properties").
The system property tag "U01!Alive" is TRUE when U01 is normal, and FALSE when the U01 device goes down. Therefore, if you set the alarm master condition to "'U01!Alive'==FALSE", an alarm will be generated when a communication error with U01 occurs.
Please enclose 'U01!Alive' in single quotes.

If you set a tag access path to Alarm server, you cannot include system property tags (such as U01!Alive) as they are in the alarm conditions. If you want to include a system property tag in an alarm after setting a tag access path, specify it by adding a specific keyword such as "_" (underscore) at the beginning (such as _U01!Alive). Furthermore, this keyword can be specified as "Tag Direct Path Mark" on the Alarm Master tab of the Alarm server settings screen.

The device down condition is set in the unit's communication settings. For details, see "Device Down".

The 'U01!Alive' in "'U01!Alive'==FALSE" must be enclosed in single quotation marks. This is because "!" is a prohibited character in operator format. By enclosing it in single quotation marks, you can use tag names that contain prohibited characters. For more information, see "Operation Expression Syntax". |
