How to print from your own alarm function
If you have created your own alarm function using Remote alarm grid client control, there are two ways to print the alarm data. Both methods are done from Panel Browser.
1)Print a snapshot of your screen
This is a method to print a snapshot of the screen while an alarm is displayed on the
Panel Browser screen. By calling the "PrintScreenshot" root method, you can print the currently displayed screen image as is.
2)Create a text file formatted for printing and print it from an external application
First, using the "SavePrintText" root method creates a text file formatted for printing.
Then, by using the "OpenApplicationFile" root method to call an external application such as Notepad, you can launch the external application with the above text file automatically opened.
Printing is performed using the functions of an external application.
The specific steps are as follows:
1. The contents of the alarm grid are obtained by a script, and the data is converted into a print format using the SavePrintText route method, and output to a file with the extension ".txt".
2. Use the OpenApplicationFile root method and call it by specifying the text file from step 1. This will open the application associated with txt (such as Notepad).
3. Execute the print operation from the application started in “2” and output to the printer.

The standard alarm functions of the standard framework and screen library have a print function built in. In each standard alarm function, the print process is implemented using the method "2" above. |
