Building the main features

overview

Here we will explain how to build each of the following key functions required for a surveillance system.

content

overview

Alarm

This section explains how to configure alarm monitoring. It also explains how to use the screen library's "Alarm Summary", "Alarm History", "Event Real Time", and "Event History", as well as how to import the alarm screen library and how to customize alarms.

Logging/Trend graph

This content is about building logging and trend graph functions. It explains how to perform logging using the summary action and logger action of Panel Server, and how to display graphs using the "trend graph" and "comparison trend graph" of the screen library.

Daily Report

This is a content about building a daily report aggregation function (report). It explains how to build aggregation processes such as Daily/Monthly/Yearly Report using the summary action of Panel Server, how to use the daily report function using the "Daily Report" screen library, and how to edit the report layout.

Operation monitoring

This is content related to the operation monitoring function. It explains how to incorporate and configure the "operation monitoring" provided as a screen library.

Signal List

This is content related to the signal list function. This explains how to incorporate and configure the "signal list" provided as a screen library.

Demand monitoring

This content is about building a demand monitoring function. It explains how to use the "Demand Monitoring", "Demand History", and "Demand Report" screens in the screen library, as well as how to register demand actions for Panel Server.

Energy Management (EMS)

This is a content about building the energy management function (EMS function). We will explain how to incorporate and configure the "Energy Management" provided as a screen library, as well as the concepts of point groups and graph groups, with concrete configuration examples.

Scatter plot graph

This is content related to the scatter plot graph function. It explains how to incorporate and configure the "scatter plot" provided as a screen library.

Split display (camera monitor)

This is content related to the split display function. This explains how to incorporate and configure the "split display" provided as a screen library. In the split display, multiple graphic screens and standard function screens can be displayed side by side. The split display can also be used as a camera monitor. By allocating the video from a network camera to the display frame of the split display, you can monitor multiple cameras side by side at the same time.

Guidance

This section explains the Guidance function. In addition to any memo information (text information), the Guidance function allows you to register various files such as image files, video files, and PDF files. The registered guidance information can be called from related information or from a button placed on the graphic screen.

Video Player

This is a content about the video player function. It explains how to incorporate video playback functionality into a form using the "video player component" provided as a component library.

Video Recorder

This is content related to the video recorder function. It explains how to incorporate and configure the "Video Recorder" provided as a screen library. With the video recorder, you can record streaming video from network cameras, etc., and play back videos from the beginning based on information such as the time an alarm occurred. In addition to manually starting and stopping recording, you can also set the start and stop times for recording on each day of the week as a weekly schedule to record automatically, or record automatically when the event condition is ON/OFF.

Camera registration

This section explains camera registration. To display network cameras and video files on the split screen (video player) or video recorder, you must register the camera. Camera registration is available as a common setting function in the system.

Collaboration with Mitsubishi Electric's "Nekaroku"

FA-Panel can be linked to "Nekaroku". Nekaroku is a recording and distribution server of Mitsubishi Electric Information Network, and in addition to viewing live video from various general-purpose network cameras connected to Nekaroku, you can also play back recorded data on Nekaroku on a video player, or play multiple recorded data side-by-side in a split display (camera monitor) at the same time.

Use as a communication server

Here we will briefly introduce the configuration that uses Panel Server as a communication server.

Hint

In addition to the functions introduced above, you can build various server logic. For example, you can easily build gateway functions that perform calculations between tags, or bridge FTP, Send mail, and PLC tags. For information on how to build these various server logics, please refer to the description in "Building Server Logic" in the Monitoring System Building Guide.
