Example of group settings for energy management

Example of group settings

There are two grouping concepts on the energy management screen: "point groups" and "graph groups."

Here we will introduce some specific examples of the point groups and graph groups that are actually set up in this sample.

If you want to know the basic concept of energy management grouping, please refer to "Point Groups and Graph Groups".

■ Equipment requirements for this setting example

In this configuration example, we assume that there is monitored equipment with the following requirements:

•The business entity can be broadly divided into three parts: Head Office, Business Office A, and Business Office B.

•The head office is divided into two floors, "1F" (department 1) and "2F" (department 2). Business office A and business office B are each considered as one department.

•There are three air conditioners in the head office, which are shared throughout the entire office.

•The common areas of the head office include a shop, outdoor lighting, and common areas (such as the entrance), which are used by the entire head office.

•The head office is equipped with solar power generation facilities, and the electricity generated by these facilities is shared and used throughout the entire head office.

•The floor area of the first and second floors of the head office is roughly 7:3. Therefore, the floor area ratio for air conditioners, common areas, and solar power generation will be 7:3 for the first and second floors.

•Gas is only used by the head office. There is one parent gas meter for the entire building and one child meter that shows the gas usage for the 1st floor. The gas usage for the 2nd floor can be calculated by subtracting the total from the 1st floor.

•Data on outside temperature, outside humidity, and rainfall is collected as measurement points.

In addition, the following fields are registered in the summary action as the above metering points and measurement points, and logging, daily report aggregation, monthly report aggregation, and annual report aggregation are performed.

■Explanation

A point group can have multiple metering points registered across multiple point groups. When assigning metering points to a point group, it is possible to write an arithmetic expression, and by writing an expression such as *0.7, the metering value can be apportioned and imported (example: common area electricity), or the calculation results of metering points can be imported (example: gas meter).

In addition, multiple point groups can be registered in a graph group, overlapping across the graph groups. When assigning a point group to a graph group, it is possible to specify an apportionment ratio, and the total value of the point group can be apportioned and imported into the graph group.

Of the graph groups above, "Entire head office", "Power at business site A", and "Power at business site B" are set up with the assumption that they will be displayed on the conversion graph. The graph group settings include a check box for whether or not to display on the conversion graph, and the converted total value for each checked graph group is displayed as a single bar on the conversion graph. In this example, by checking "Entire head office", "Power at business site A", and "Power at business site B", the totals for each of these three graph groups will be displayed as three bar graphs. Note that measurement points can be registered in duplicate in a point group, so make sure to set it so that the values add up when the conversion graph is displayed (so that measurement values are not tallied up in duplicate).

In addition, at the head office, the electricity generated by the solar power generation equipment, which is a form of energy creation, is recorded as "power generation," making it possible to display the amount of power generated on the consumption/power generation display in the usage graph.

Of the graph groups above, "Power Rank by Department" is a group that was registered with the intention of displaying it in a ranking graph. The ranking graph is displayed in order of the number of point groups registered in the graph group. Therefore, in addition to preparing a graph group for ranking display, you should also register point groups in the units for which you want to display rankings.
