How to connect as a OPC server
You can connect to the OPC server (FA-Server) from multiple remote PCs. Because DCOM is used between the client and server according to the OPC specifications, you must configure DCOM.
The settings are as follows:

If the OPC client application does not use OPCENUM, it is necessary to register the information of the application that will be the OPC server in the registry even on the client side. In that case, please perform the registry registration work together with the client-side settings only. For the setting instructions, please refer to "Registering the OPC Server" in "OPC Server Side Settings". |
If you are using a Windows firewall or antivirus software, communication may be blocked. In order to establish communication, we recommend that you perform the initial settings with the firewall and antivirus software filtering disabled. |
If you want to set up OPC-related libraries on the client side, select only "OPC Client" from the installer and install it. |
