Install the latest update for Windows
Potential issues with Windows may affect continuous operation. Please update Windows on the actual PCs you will be deploying to the site.
The method for updating Windows varies depending on the version of Windows you are using. For details on how to do this, please refer to the information on the Microsoft website.
Disable automatic updates for Windows Update
If WindowsUpdate is set to automatic updates, the OS may restart unintentionally while the surveillance system is running continuously.
Depending on the environment you are using, please disable automatic updates for WindowsUpdate.
The method for disabling WindowsUpdate differs depending on the version of Windows you are using. For details on how to do this, please refer to the information on the Microsoft website.
Consider disabling WindowsSearch
Depending on your version of Windows, the WindowsSearch function may be enabled.
If this function is enabled, every time a file is generated by logging/collection by FA-Server, the Index used by the search function of Windows is created, which may increase memory consumption and cause the Index file to become bloated, which may affect the continuous operation of the system. Consider disabling this setting depending on the environment in which you are installing the system.
The method for disabling the WindowsSearch function differs depending on the version of Windows you are using. For details on how to do this, please refer to the information on the Microsoft website.
The Time sync of the PC running FA-Server
The time on your PC will gradually become inaccurate. If the time on your PC is significantly changed while FA-Server is running, this may affect the timestamps of logging files, etc.
Consider whether or not you want to automatically set your PC's Time sync, and if so, which PC (NTP server) you want to synchronize the time with, and then make the appropriate settings.
If you enable the Windows firewall, you may need to open certain IP addresses and port numbers.
In particular, please be careful not to block the IP addresses and port numbers used by FA-Server and FA-Client for communication.
