Input/Output Binding Format

There are two ways to format input/output binds:

1) "INOUT: Tag name"

If the input and output bindings have the same tags, write the tag name after "INOUT:".

example)

Sets the value of the U01.F01.T01 tag to the property and writes the property value to the U01.F01.T01 tag.

INOUT:U01.F01.T01

hint

However, for example, if you want to specify input and output bindings using the CNumToLocale (NL) function to display a number with two decimal points, you cannot write "INOUT:NL(U01.F01.T01,2)". In that case, use the format "Input binding format; Output binding format" explained below and write "IN: NL(U01.F01.T01,2) ;OUT:U01.F01.T01".

2) "Input Binding Format ; Output Binding Format"

You can specify the input binding "IN" and the output binding "OUT" separately.

In this example, input and output tags are defined separately, such as a tag (U01.F01.T01) that writes to a tag from an edit control, and a tag (U01.F01.T02) that receives feedback on the write results.

Sets the property to the value of U01.F01.T02, and writes the property value to U01.F01.T01.

IN:U01.F01.T02;OUT:U01.F01.T01

■Processing flow

1.When you enter a number into the edit control with the above binding, the input value is written to T01 by the output binding.

2.If the value of T02 changes after the bind writes to T01, the value of the input bind will be displayed in the edit control.
However, if the value of T02 does not change after writing to T01,The value entered in the edit control (the value written in T01) will continue to be displayed as is..

3) "WATCH Options"

This is a setting example that further expands the example in "2". In a case like "2", the results of writing to U01.F01.T01 should be reflected in U01.F01.T02 immediately and fed back, but if some problem occurs and the value of U01.F01.T02 does not change, the feedback will not be displayed correctly. Therefore, by specifying the WATCH option as shown below, if U01.F01.T02 does not change for a certain period of time after the execution of the OUT bind, the property can be reverted to the value of U01.F01.T02.

IN:U01.F01.T02;OUT:U01.F01.T01;WATCH:10

After WATCH, you can set the monitoring time in seconds by adding a colon (:). If you specify ":10" as in the above example, the edit control will revert to the value of U01.F01.T02 if there is no change in U01.F01.T02 for 10 seconds after a value is written to U01.F01.T01.

■Processing flow

1.When you enter a number into the edit control with the above binding, the input value is written to T01 by the output binding.

2.If the value of T02 changes after the bind writes to T01, the value of the input bind will be displayed in the edit control.

3.If the value of T02 does not change for 10 seconds after writing to T01, the edit control will revert to the value of T02.

Furthermore, if you specify only ";WATCH" without specifying seconds as shown below, the value of the "BindWatchTime" root property will be applied as the monitoring time.

IN:U01.F01.T02;OUT:U01.F01.T01;WATCH

hint

If the input and output bindings are the same tag, you do not need to write the WATCH format.

4) "ONLYFIRSTIN option"

You can specify the "ONLYFIRSTIN" option in the input/output binding format.

If you specify ONLYFIRSTIN, the linking of values from the input tag will stop after the first value is retrieved from the input tag. Use this if you want to retrieve only the first value for some reason.

INOUT:U01.F01.T01;ONLYFIRSTIN

IN:U01.F01.T01;OUT:U01.F01.T02;ONLYFIRSTIN
