About Alarm server actions
To use the alarm function, you need to register and configure the "Alarm server action" on Panel Server.
Alarm server actions monitor tag values in real time and monitor the status, such as alarm occurrence/recovery, according to the alarm occurrence conditions (alarm occurrence conditions for tag values) defined in advance in a CSV format definition file called an "alarm master." Detected alarm information is recorded as history information on the Panel Server side, and the alarm status is notified to the connected Panel Browser.
There are two types of Alarm server actions:
kinds |
Commentary |
Alarm server |
Alarm history information is saved in a text file (CSV format). This is the simplest configuration that does not use a database.
|
Alarm server (ODBC) |
Alarm history information can be saved in a database table via an ODBC driver.
For information on the types of DBMS that can be connected, please refer to "About supported databases".
|
If you want to save alarm information to a database, you can use the Alarm server (ODBC) action. If you are not using a database, use Alarm server using a CSV file.
|
It is also possible to register multiple Alarm server actions to Panel Server at the same time and have them run in parallel. |
