Setting examples for each need

When using the video recorder function, various configurations are possible depending on the required requirements, such as the number of cameras to be connected simultaneously (many or few), the required quality of the recording (is low fps acceptable, or is high fps recording required), etc.

Below are some configuration examples for common needs.

overview

Simple recording (minimum configuration)

If you are not particularly concerned about recording quality (for example, if a quality of about one frame per second is sufficient), you can operate it with the minimum configuration of just one PC by tuning the camera body and recording fps value low.

For high quality recording

This is an example of the system configuration and settings for high quality recording (recording frame rate 20 fps, up to 3 cameras).

When connecting multiple cameras simultaneously (low fps recording)

If you connect multiple cameras at the same time but do not need to worry about recording quality, you can lower the frame rate. At low fps, up to 30 cameras can be connected at the same time.

When connecting multiple cameras at the same time (distributing recorders)

In cases where multiple cameras are connected at the same time and you do not want to lower the frame rate, you can address this by using multiple recorder terminal PCs in a distributed configuration.

When operating servers in a duplicated configuration

We recommend that you configure the video recorder so that the recorded data is excluded from the processing of duplicated servers. This section introduces the system configuration and setting examples for operating a duplicated server.
