overview

Demand monitoring is configured from the settings screen while the client is running.

The method for setting up demand monitoring is explained below. Please note that the following operations should be performed while both Panel Server and Panel Browser are running online.

•Display the demand detailed settings dialog

•Demand monitoring settings

•Demand line setting

•Past demand display

You can specify any comment.

■ Demand tag/counter minimum value/counter boundary value

p_demand_0044

item

explanation

Demand Tags

Set the tag path of the tag to be monitored (the tag of the power metering ring counter).

Counter Minimum Value

Sets the minimum ring counter value for the demand tag.

If the counter is between 0 and 99999, it will be set to "0".

Counter Boundary Value

Sets the boundary value for the demand tag's ring counter value.

Set the boundary value to the maximum counter value + the counter increment unit.

For example, if the counter ranges from 0 to 99999 and counts up by one, enter "100000."

If the counter increment is a decimal, for example if the maximum counter value is 999.9 and the counter increment is 0.1, specify "1000".

■ Conversion value/cycle time/unit

p_demand_0045

item

explanation

Conversion Value

The conversion value is a parameter used to calculate the demand power from the amount of power consumed over a 30-minute period.

In most cases, set this to "2".

For details on setting the conversion value, see "About weighing counter weights and conversion value settings".

Cycle Time

When monitoring power demand, the general demand time limit is 30 minutes, so in most cases you should set it to "30".

unit

For power demand, you will most likely specify "kW."

■ Cycle type

p_demand_0046

For the cycle type setting, select either "AUTO" or "MANUAL".

For standard projects, "MANUAL" is set.

Please be careful when setting the cycle type. For details, please refer to "Demand cycle reset process".

■ Contract demand/Target demand/Display maximum demand

p_demand_0047

item

explanation

Contract Demand

Enter the setting value for the "contract demand line" to be displayed on the demand graph.

This setting value is the setting value for the position of the line displayed on the graph as a guideline and is unrelated to alarm detection.

Target Demand

Enter the setting value for the "target demand line" to be displayed on the demand graph.

This setting value is also the setting value for the position of the line displayed on the graph as a guideline and is unrelated to alarm detection.

Display Maximum Demand

Sets the maximum width of the Y-axis of the demand graph.

■ Forecast value calculation method/moving average count/forecast start time/forecast calculation period

p_demand_0048

The forecast calculation method allows you to select from the following three methods for calculating the slope of the forecast line.

•TWOPOINTS - Two-point calculation method

•MOVING_AVERAGE ・・・Moving average method

•LEAST_SQUARES_METHOD: Least squares method

These parameters are used to calculate the demand forecast. For details on how the forecast is calculated, please refer to "Demand forecast calculation method".

The forecast start time is the time from the start of the demand cycle until the forecast line is displayed. The forecast line will not be drawn until the time (minutes) specified here has elapsed.

■ Current value output tag / Reset output tag / Predicted value output tag

p_demand_0049

The current demand value, forecast value, and reset status can be written to tags.

For information on writing demand monitoring information to tags, please refer to the description in "About tag output of demand monitoring information".

■ Demand line setting/Past demand display/Alarm setting

p_demand_0051

Clicking the buttons on the left will display each setting screen separately.

•Demand line setting

Demand Line Settings

Demand lines are configured from the Demand Line Settings dialog.

p_demand_0050

Settings are made from the grid. Line thickness can be input directly from the grid.

■ Changing the line color

Double-clicking on the cell will bring up a color selection dialog, from which you can select the desired color.

p_demand_0052

■ Changing the line type

Double-clicking on the target cell will bring up the line type setting dialog, from which you can select the desired line type.

p_demand_0053

■ Line thickness

You can specify the thickness of each line in pixels.

■ Drawing method

Double-clicking the target cell will display the drawing method dialog. You can select the drawing method only for the contract demand value and the target demand value. For other lines, the drawing method is fixed to "diagonal line".

p_demand_0054

Setting for displaying past demand

The display settings for past demand are configured from the Past Demand Display Settings dialog.

p_demand_0055

Settings are made from the grid. Display status, name, line thickness, value storage tag, etc. can be input directly from the grid.

■ Changing the line color

Double-click the cell to display the color selection dialog. Select the desired color from the dialog that appears.

■ Value storage tag

The previous demand value and the value before last demand value can be written to a tag. When using the demand history function or the demand report function, be sure to set this parameter and specify the output destination tag of the previous demand.

For information on writing demand monitoring information to tags, please refer to the description in "About tag output of demand monitoring information".

■Alarm output tag

The demand alarm detection status can be written to a tag. If you are using Alarm server alarm monitoring, specify the destination tag with this parameter and register it in the alarm master.

For information on writing demand monitoring information to tags, please refer to the description in "About tag output of demand monitoring information".

■ Level type

Double-clicking the target cell will display the alert level type selection dialog.

p_demand_0057

item

explanation

Ratio Type

"Ratio type" specifies the alarm power setting as a ratio to the target demand. For example, if the target demand is "1800" and the alarm power is specified as "0.9", the alarm threshold will be monitored internally as 1620.

Raw Value Types

"Raw value type" specifies the alarm power setting by value. If you specify "1500" as the alarm power, an alarm will occur if the demand forecast exceeds 1500.

■ Alarm power

Set the demand alarm threshold value. Set the content according to the setting selected in Level Type.
